Product Care & Help Guide
Product Care & Appliance Safety Guide
Correct usage and routine care help prolong the lifespan and performance of your small domestic appliances. Please follow these practical manufacturer guidelines.
1. Ceramic Tower Heaters & Fan Convectors
- Airflow Clearance: Place tower heaters on a flat, stable, level surface with at least 50cm of clear space around the air intake grilles and outlet vents. Never place heaters directly on deep-pile rugs or against curtains.
- Socket Safety: Always plug high-wattage heating appliances (2000W) directly into a dedicated UK wall socket. Avoid using multi-gang extension leads or cube adapters.
- Dust Removal: Unplug the unit before maintenance. Periodically vacuum the rear air intake grille with a soft brush attachment to prevent dust build-up.
2. Cordless Window Vacuums & Steam Cleaners
- Battery Maintenance: Recharge cordless window vacuums fully before first use. Avoid leaving lithium batteries completely discharged for prolonged winter periods.
- Water Management: Empty and rinse the dirty water tank after every cleaning session. Never submerge the main motor housing in water.
- Steam Cleaning: Allow pressurized steam appliances to cool completely before opening the safety cap. Use demineralised or distilled water in hard-water UK regions to avoid limescale blockage in internal heating nozzles.
3. Countertop Ice Makers & Food Vacuum Sealers
- Ice Maker Settling: Because portable ice makers contain a refrigeration compressor, always allow the machine to stand upright on a level countertop for at least 2 hours before plugging in for the first cycle.
- Periodic Descaling: Run a mild diluted lemon water or food-safe descaling cycle through your ice maker once a month, followed by two cycles of fresh water.
- Vacuum Sealer Strips: Keep the thermal sealing bar clean and dry. Avoid continuous sealing without allowing 20 seconds between bags for the heating strip to cool down.
